Two references with different jobs
A flight number identifies a flight. An airline booking reference identifies a reservation. When preparing a Pilgrim Taxi arrival request, keep them in separate fields instead of assuming that any short code on your confirmation will do. The transport planner needs to understand which arrival you mean; the airline reservation contains information used to manage your air travel.
Imagine a family sending only a booking reference and the words “Tuesday evening”. That leaves the arrival unclear, even though the family has supplied something that looks precise. A better request names the arrival airport, flight number, local arrival date and scheduled time. Keep the airline booking reference with your private travel documents unless it is genuinely needed through an appropriate channel.
When more than one airline name appears
Read the itinerary carefully if the company selling the ticket and the airline operating the flight differ. Preserve the flight details as the airline provides them. If you are uncertain which reference belongs in a form, ask a focused question rather than choosing a number because it appears first on the page.
A useful message is: “My itinerary shows these flight details for the arrival into Madinah. Which flight number should I put in the transport request?” You can share the relevant line without exposing the whole reservation. Avoid posting a complete booking confirmation in a public comment or a large community group.
Check again after an airline change
If the airline moves you to a different flight, compare the new arrival information with the transport booking. A revised airline reservation does not automatically establish that the ground journey has been changed. Send the new flight, airport, date and time through the confirmed transport contact process, then keep the response.
The final check is simple: someone reading the transport details should be able to identify the intended arrival without guessing. That is a better test than whether every box contains a code.
