Do not let a familiar name hide a new address

If an accommodation booking changes to another branch, the transport destination may change even when the hotel brand remains the same. Compare the full property name and address with the existing request. A message saying β€œsame hotel company” does not establish that the journey is unchanged.

Keep the new reservation beside the transport details and identify exactly what differs. This is easier than trying to remember whether a shortened hotel name referred to the old or new property.

Request an address review

Send the confirmed new destination through the booking channel and refer to the affected journey. Ask whether the change alters the quote or collection arrangement. Do not assume that an address can be substituted without review because it remains within the same city.

If there are both arrival and departure bookings, check each one. Updating an airport drop-off destination does not prove that a later hotel pickup record has also changed. Keep a simple list of the journeys that use the accommodation address.

Replace the traveller’s location record

Once the amendment is confirmed, update the saved map location and the traveller’s offline instructions. Label the old property clearly in any planning notes you retain. A familiar old pin can be more persuasive than a correct but less familiar new name when someone is in a hurry.

Ask the person who will travel to read back the new destination. If they have been discussing the trip with relatives using the old hotel name, this provides a chance to correct the shared understanding before arrival.

The useful test is whether every affected journey now points to the confirmed property. Matching the hotel brand is not enough. Keeping the exact address consistent across the family plan and the actual bookings prevents a small accommodation change from becoming a larger transport misunderstanding.
