A price is only part of the offer
A screenshot containing just a total can travel quickly through a family chat. It can also lose the details that make the number meaningful: route, date, passengers, luggage, included stops and the conditions attached to the quote. Share those details alongside the price rather than asking the group to decide from a cropped figure.
Imagine two relatives comparing screenshots from different requests. One includes a return journey and the other does not. The lower number does not establish the better value because the services are different. Reconstruct the scope before making a comparison.
Keep the version and status clear
Record when the quote was received and whether it is preliminary, revised or accepted. If a hotel or party size changed after the screenshot was taken, the older image may no longer describe the journey you want. Ask for the changed request to be reviewed rather than treating the earlier figure as transferable.
Use a short label when forwarding: “Current quote for this route and date; return not included,” or whatever accurately describes the offer. Do not add an expiry period or inclusion that the provider has not supplied. The purpose is to preserve the offer, not to reinterpret it.
Review together before acceptance
Have one person compare the final quote with the latest travel details. Check that the destination and relevant requirements are answered, then make the decision through the actual booking process. A family vote in a chat does not by itself confirm a reservation.
After acceptance, keep the confirmation as the reference record. Retain earlier quotes privately if useful, but avoid presenting them alongside the final booking without labels. Travellers should not have to guess which image describes the agreed service.
